Perfect for couples, or friends who want an authentic cabin experience with all of the home comforts - including home baked sour dough on arrival!
Who is The Hideaway for?
The Hideaway is for couples who want a few days by themselves in nature but still want to be near coffee shops, and perhaps want a movie night too. It's also for folks who want a more homely feeling cabin stay - with home made brownies, sourdough and breakfast granola provided for each stay. For couples who want to cook outdoors, you can also add a supper hamper deisgned by a local chef. The cabin sleeps two adults (plus an infant if you like) with lots to explore near by - blue-flag beaches ten minutes away, Mussenden Temple on its clifftop five minutes up the road, and some of the darkest night skies on the island, where the Northern Lights turn up a few times a year. Things to note: The cabin is a 70 m walk from the car park along a wooden walkway, with a wheelbarrow for bags. It's on the hosts' land, a field away from their house, with a shared entrance and a rural road beyond, so you'll see the odd car and the odd person. It's also on the same land as the Lir cabin so you may bump into other guests.

And, how do I get to the cabin?
Once booked, we will provide you with an exact pin to find your cabin. For now you can know it's in the hills above Castlerock, on the Causeway Coast in Northern Ireland, about ten minutes from Coleraine.
By car
235 km from Dublin and a journey time of about 3 hours 30. Just over an hour from Belfast and 40 minutes from Derry.
By Public transport
Take the train to Castlerock station, then a 5 minute taxi to the cabins. We recommend checking timetables in advance depending on the day of the week and time, and pre-booking the taxi to avoid waiting times.

A note from your host
We're Lucy and Rob. I'm from Derry and spent years in PR and marketing; Rob's a construction consultant from England. We moved back to the North Coast, fell for this spot on the hills and pulled our two skill sets together to build these cabins. We love the life up here, long dog walks on the beach, trail runs in the forest, surfing with the kids. In another life I'd have had a bakery, so I get my fix baking for guests instead: sourdough, brownies and granola for every arrival.

Favourite Morning
Coffee and cinnamon buns curled up on the sofa with the kids, then a long dog walk on the beach.
Cabin Essential
A moka pot, steaks to cook over the firepit, a good book and a pack of Uno cards.
