Two and a half hours from Dublin, Killee Cottage is for couples, history lovers and their dogs who want a few slow days in a thatched cottage from the early 1800s, at the foot of the Galtee Mountains.
Who is Killee Cottage for?
Killee is for the outdoor and history lovers who want to be whisked back to Ireland’s vernacular history, a simpler time. Think long walks in the Galtees, evenings playing games, feet up by the fire, and time to cook a proper dinner. Dogs welcome to come too! The cottage sleeps two adults, plus an infant in a travel cot, with the Galtee and Ballyhoura mountains, Mitchelstown Cave and Doneraile Court and Wildlife Park all close by. Things to note: The cottage is right on a country road that gets the odd burst of farm traffic. There's nothing within walking distance, so you'll need a car. You park at the door, with just one step down to get in. There is also very little phone signal and no wifi, so you'll get the true Samsú experience!

By Public transport
Take the train to Mallow, then the bus from Mallow to Mitchelstown, and a taxi from there to the cottage. We recommend checking timetables in advance depending on the day of the week and time, and pre-booking the taxi to avoid waiting times. A car is wort
