Thank you Rosanna for creating such. peaceful space to reconnect with time and nature. Life can just get so busy and ahead of us that we forget to stop breathe and appreciate the small things. Learning to light a fire, make coffee in a french press, listen to old classics on a cassette, it was perfect. My girlfriend and I had a much needed getaway/detox due to a busy summer period with work. Unfortunately the place wasn’t clean when we arrived, Rosanna was great in organising a cleaner immediately & organising a refund for our first night which we appreciated greatly. Our stay in general was great, we found it very comfy and cosy. All of the details make such an impact on your overall experience, not only is it a beautiful and fully immersive setting, thoughtful curation of music, books and information champions Irish creators and makes for a really beautiful stay. It is honestly a slice of paradise, it was our second time staying, we never want for anything when we’re there, everything is to hand, so thoughtfully executed. The addition of the sauna this year was an absolute bonus. Ref felt it really contributed to the overall Zen feeling we guess when we were in this place. It was absolutely incredible from the walk in, being able to peak at the cabin through the trees, to the walk back out again being able to thank the trees and the forest for taking all our fears and worries away again. The attention to detail inside and outside the cabin was a bonus, but it was the fundamental immersive connection with nature that brought everything together. I had no idea how much this would impact me and I am pleasantly surprised by how much it did. It would appear my soul is still alive. I cannot recommend this getaway enough and I cannot think of anybody who would not benefit from it. The cabin is so well thought out and cosy, from the whistling kettle to the wood burning stove. The grounds are beautiful to walk on as well, you wouldn't get bored at all. Amazing little break, removing all electronic devices from your life is such a freeing feeling. Immersing in books, board games and cards brought us back to me and my partners childhood. We had the most beautiful, peaceful and zen weekend. It was time so well spent cooking in the cabin, reading from the bed listening and watching the rain from the big windows beside the bed and most importantly time off our phones! Our recent stay at Saoirse was among the best holidays we have ever had. A few short hours into the stay, I felt my centre of gravity and shoulders drop. I had a beautiful time staying in the Saoirse cabin in Westmeath. Just about everything has been considered, right down to marshmallows for toasting over an open fire. Myself and my wife had an incredible stay at Saoirse. It should be a mandatory retreat for everyone at least once a year! We felt more relaxed and refreshed than we had in months.
